As a QA Automation Engineer, you will prioritize the maintenance and expansion of our Automated testing suite, and participate in test execution, hands on validation and certification of the product readiness. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
What you’ll be doing
- Your initial responsibilities will be to gain a deep understanding of our Automated testing systems, to be able to expand them to handle key in-flight projects
- Define the test automation strategy and identify the test cases suitable for automation
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks tailored to the needs of the project, ensuring scalability and reusability
- Write and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver
- Conduct peer reviews of test scripts to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
- Execute test procedures and/ or scripts either manually or by automated tools
- Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to ensure automated tests run in various environments
- Regularly update and maintain test scripts and frameworks to adapt to changes in the application
- Optimize and tune test scripts and frameworks for better performance and stability
- Work closely with developers, manual testers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
- Mentor and train junior team members on best practices in automation testing
- Document automation processes, frameworks, and guidelines to ensure knowledge transfer and standardization
- Identify risks related to automation and implement mitigation strategies to ensure test reliability
- Experience in performing Manual and Automation software testing for Web sites, Web Portals
- Develop BDD (Behavior Driven Development) test cases using Cucumber and Gherkin language for clear, readable test specifications
- Participate in Manual and automated testing, work closely with developers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, and to ensure that products meet the required quality standards
What we are looking for
- Diploma or BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing with Selenium and Java preferably in Fintech industry
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems
- Strong understanding of software development and testing life cycles
- Strong programming skills in Java
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Proficiency in using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferably experience in the FX Industry
