A μBTC or a ‘microbitcoin’ is the smallest denomination of a bitcoin and is equal to 0.000001 BTC.
BTC, mBTC and μBTC are commonly confused. Although they appear similar to one another, they do represent different values:
- 1 BTC = 1 Bitcoin
- 1 mBTC (millibitcoin) = 0.001 Bitcoin
- 1 μBTC (microbitcoin) = 0.000001 Bitcoin

With our μBTC account, you’ll be able to trade all 275+ of the instruments we offer on both our easyMarkets Web & App and MT4. You’ll also be able to utilize all of our popular products, including easyTrade, Vanilla Options, and Day Trade.
easyMarkets μBTC Account is available in all regions. If you would like to set up a new account, follow the simple four-step process below:
- Create an easyMarkets account
- Select Microbitcoin as your base currency during the sign-up stage
- Verify your account and identity
- Fund your μBTC account by scanning the provided QR code
To make a deposit, you’ll need to have a fully verified account. After successful verification, you will then be able to deposit to the designated Bitcoin Wallet Address assigned to you by the easyMarkets platform (this BTC wallet address is unique to you and never changes).
If you decide to transfer BTC funds to your allocated easyMarkets BTC Wallet Address, you can expect it to take around one hour for the Blockchain to verify the transaction. After the verification process has finalized, our Finance team will manually credit your funds to your easyMarkets account with the appropriate amount.
To make a withdrawal, you’ll need to navigate to the withdrawal screen under ‘My easyMarkets’. Once here, you can select the amount of BTC you would like to withdraw from either the easyMarkets or MT4 platform.
After selecting your desired amount, our finance team will then check that the amount requested is eligible to withdraw. If the amount is valid, we will request your Bitcoin Wallet address to transfer the appropriate Bitcoin amount back to your BTC Address.
As all the instruments traded on our platforms are CFD products, you do not possess the underlying asset, and therefore you can't exchange your funds to other FIAT currencies. This means you are only able to deposit and withdraw Bitcoin with the easyMarkets μBTC account.
