easyMarkets Chinese Family Visits HQ for Mid-Autumn Festival
14 September 2016
easyMarkets HQ in Limassol, Cyprus welcomes this week our staff from the Shanghai marketing office. They’ll be bringing the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations with them which is celebrated on 15 September.
Celebrating the harvest, the festival takes place on the 15th day of the eight month in the Han calendar during the full moon. The festival is considered one of the most important holidays for Chinese. It is also known as the Harvest Moon Festival or the Mooncake Festival due to tradition of eating mooncakes during the celebrations.
The festival is a time for family and friends to gather, traditionally for the harvesting of crops, and to give thanks and send prayers. Typically, during these celebrations, you may see dragon and lion dances, parades of children with lanterns and off course, the making and eating mooncakes.
The festival also celebrates reunions which is why all of the easyMarkets team at headquarters are happy to welcome our Chinese team once again.
We wish you and your family a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
祝你和你的家人中秋快乐
