Linux System Administrator - EM330
About your role
We’re looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator like you to join our Technical Operations Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and deploying systems while actively contributing to both operational tasks and exciting new projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Monitor production systems, perform support, troubleshooting, and escalation
- Deploy projects to production systems with minimal downtime and update deployment procedures as needed
- Work closely with development and QA teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain configuration management for provisioning new servers and updating existing infrastructure using Ansible and Puppet
- Develop and automate system tasks using Bash scripting and Python
- Ensure stability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure, providing support to developers when required
- Administer multiple Linux servers, focusing on CentOS and AlmaLinux
- Maintain high availability and performance of web servers and applications, including proactive system monitoring
- Manage and optimize NGINX configurations for web serving, load balancing, and reverse proxying
- Perform updates, patches, and maintenance on production and pre-production environments
- Participate in the operations team on-call rotation for systems support
What we are looking for
- Strong Linux system administration skills, preferably with CentOS and AlmaLinux
- Proven experience troubleshooting production issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems with minimal client impact
- Hands-on experience deploying applications in staging and production environments
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet
- Strong skills in configuring and maintaining LEMP (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP) and MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stacks in a high-availability environment
- Experience managing high-traffic, load-balanced systems with HAProxy, NGINX, and caching mechanisms
- Experience with Memcached/Redis configuration and optimization
- Strong understanding of web technologies such as caching, proxying, content distribution, WebSockets, load balancing, and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience with version control tools (Git/GitHub)
- Expertise in Bash scripting and Python for automation and system administration
- Experience managing and optimizing MySQL and MongoDB databases
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration solutions, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, ELK
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts and best practices
- Familiarity with Windows server administration is a plus
